Island Spirit
This is a short series of impressions from Hawaii when we were there recently for my daughter's wedding on June 1.
It doesn't get much more Hawaiian than this! [Today I'm in Atlanta.]

Gorgeous bold colors. I like the way the swim trunks echo the red and yellow from the catamaran.
Ginnie: What a sight for sore eyes, Red Pen. I'm sure the "matching" guy was the Captain of the Ship.
This is a perfect holiday photo ... great colors and contrasts. I'd like to be there now.
Ginnie: I'm guessing we'd all like to be there right now, Carsten.
My goodness, love the colors!!!
Ginnie: They sure do wake you up, Hamilton, if you weren't already awake.
Wow, Ginnie. What a beautiful boat and his swimming trunks match the boat! How beautiful. I need a trip to the beach.
Ginnie: Smart advertising for the Captain of the Ship, Sherri.
So...Elvis is correct about Hawaii being "blue".
Extraordinary deepness of colour of the water at the horizon. This is a beautifully presented image, Ginnie.
Ginnie: Yes, Ray. Elvis was right.
I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. The colors are gorgeous as is the sky and the water.
Ginnie: Just do it, Helen! I hope you can some day. It was my third time and I can see why people keep going back. Life slows down to where you're able to enjoy the little things! Good to see you back.
No it doesn't!!! LOL not that I would know! nevr been ;D but with pics like these I know what to look forward to when I go... thanks ma!
Ginnie: You'll love it whenever you get to go, Yinks. I highly recommend it.
Somewhere I'm aching to visit. And no excuse as our clan often nip over from Canada. So one day....
A super image full of vivid colour which makes me want to grab my passport and depart immediately.
Ginnie: Just do it, Paul!
Wow fantastic colours Ginnie.
Ginnie: They sure wake you up, Aussie, if you weren't already awake.
I like the warm color, nice shot
Ginnie: Thank you, Zohre. The colors are very inviting, aren't they!
This is wonderful Ginnie top class - picture postcard - so warm feeling and it hits you straight away it is Hawaii love it well done.
Ginnie: You always say the perfect things, Scotia. Thank you kindly.
I agree with Sherri, I like his corporate shorts!
Ginnie: HA! A good way to advertise his ship, Nigel.
This is really vibrant Ginnie
Ginnie: Enough to wake up an army, Chris.
I like the colours and they give a Hawaaiian feeling of holidays or wedding as I imagine in my (may be cliché-) fantasy- especially the blues of sky and sea and the beautiful combination of yellow and red, the attractive shorts of the inhabitant on the right side are very fitting to (his?)ships! Nice reflections on the strand- sun pure the whole day! Lovely!
Ginnie: I have a feeling every day is like a wedding (or honeymoon) when some people are there, Philine. It has that magical appeal. And for sure, that man has got to be the Captain of the Ship!
I could sail with this boat to the end of the world and never come back.....THIS is so good, love the colours, love the ontzettend mooie border around it, everything is good to this picture, I hope you will join me for a trip with this boat.
Ginnie: I would definitely go to the end of the world with you in this boat, Astrid! You'd be the Captain (in those cute, colorful shorts), I'd be your co-pilot (and cook and do the dishes), and Tracy would climb the mast to be the look-out for us (because she wants to get over her fear of heights!).
Oh why can't you be more like Chris, Ginnie, he so good...LOL
Ginnie: HAHAHAHAHAHA! I guess we all our stuck with our own gifts and talents, Chad!
The colour hits you right between the eyes! Makes a great postcard Ginnie
Ginnie: It sure wakes you up, Bill, if you weren't awake already.
Just need a surf board, super colours
Ginnie: You'll get one soon enough, Vintage. There you go, reading my mind again.
This looks like the perfect beach holiday - white sand, blue sea and sky and a bit of shade - heaven. Love the matching trunks!
Ingrid
Ginnie: Now we know why this is Paradise to so many people. Thanks, Ingrid.
i know i won't need a travel guide whenever i'm ready to tour the world
i'll just call on you
Ginnie: HA! I will gladly answer any questions you might have, DrAW, to the best of my ability!
You're presenting so well this boat Ginnie. I love the colours. I am ready to board anytime!
Ginnie: It would make a great venue for a SC get-together, Richard, wouldn't it!
Un vrai rêve, du soleil, du ciel bleu, de l'eau !
C'est très gentil de partager son soleil avec tous ceux qui ne vivent sous la pluie.
Ginnie: It's a magical place, Ceanothe, for sure! Merci.
nice colors & pic
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Angel, for stopping by and commenting. That means a lot to me.
I'll bet that baby can fly!
Ginnie: I'm sure you're right, Ruth. Bill and Linda rode on a similar one and said they had a great time.
Very zingy colours Ginnie....we could do with a few weeks there right now!!!
Ginnie: I think we all could, Chris.
the yellow sparkles against the blue
Ginnie: Yes it does, Chantal! Thanks.
Paradise and Heaven all rolled into one Ginnie
How I would love to be siting on that beach watching the day go by or sailing on that boat just chilling. Fantastic shot and the clarity is outstanding too
Ginnie: I know you're not in Germany, Tracy, but thank you anyway!
Looks very inviting Ginnie, great image.
Ginnie: And for a price, Bridge, I'm sure.
Lovely colours Ginnie, oh to get this sort of sunshine in the U.K.on a regular basis. Just noticed the shadows on the beach, a great fill in for what could be a blank area.
Ginnie: I know, Brian. It doesn't seem quite fair, does it. Oh well. I guess that's why it's called Paradise.
Those shadows are of the palm trees that Trim is looking for.
A spectacular sailboat. A fine beach scene shot.
Ginnie: Very inviting, Don! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
But but but ... but Ginnie where are the palm trees ?
;-) richard
Ginnie: But but but...Richard! Don't you see them in the sand????
Oooooooooooooooops ... silly me.
richard
Ginnie: HA! I didn't notice it myself, Richard, until much later.
If this is what Hawaiian beaches look like..I've gotta go. Great colors..great boats..nice image.
Ginnie: It is, Marcie, and you do!
Now that's a boat to sail away on honeymoon, on.
Ginnie: Precisely, Alex!
The colours choosed Hawaii to make a party...!
