Wedded Bliss
For all you wedding photographers!
You would have had a heyday following around the photographer I "happened upon" while in Sydney Harbour our last day in Australia. He just happened to have my same camera and lens, so he stopped to talk to me about it between shots. How fun! [Today I'm in Amsterdam.]

love this Ginnie
i can see they're well on their way towards "togetherness"
Ginnie: It was a fun photo shoot, Deji. They were doing everything the photographer asked them to do, so that sounds like togetherness.
You should have sold this to him or at least traded for some of his secrets ! Great wedding candid.
Ginnie: I did learn a secret from him, Johnny: he was using a top flash (added to the camera) because it was starting to get dark. That's something I don't yet have for my camera.
The most unusual wedding picture I've seen in quite a while, Ginnie. Lucky you to "happened upon".
Ginnie: I happened to be in the right place at the right time, Viktor! I felt very lucky indeed! Thanks.
Very nice, Ginnie. bet they'd love a nice candid like this one.
Ginnie: I'm quite sure they're getting something similar from their photographer, Mary. Actually, come to think of it, maybe not! I don't think he was shooting them as they came away from their pose.
This is a very fine wedding candid shot, Ginnie...I really like the informality of it.
I wonder if the pro got any as good as this? [Funny thing...I attended an up-country traditional wedding last weekend, and am in the process of creating an eBook about it...you have prompted me to put a couple of shots on SC...the official photographer seemed a little frightened of me, and kept following me around and trying to take the same pictures I was shooting...grin]
Ginnie: I'm sure the pro got many quite a bit better than this, Ray, but thank you kindly. I know I'll have great fun looking at your e-book, so please do post some shots on SC!
Great photo look like he supporting her all ready
Ginnie: That's what it looks like, Vintage, for sure. Thanks.
It looks like something pretty drastic is going on with that water, Ginnie!
Ginnie: Drastic water? Maybe it's an omen? But actually, if an omen, I think it looks pretty calm. Thanks, Larry.
Nice toneing and good crop, well done Ginnie
Ginnie: You're a sweetheart, Klaus. Thanks.
Geweldige foto, I think this is a great candid, love the colours of the bouquet of flowers, I would not have minded a wending on the beach....BTW I hope they realise that a marriage can be full of uneven rocky paths....but I am sure they will work things out...at least if they love each other with hart en ziel.......
Ginnie: A wedding on the beach (like Amy will have in Hawaii soon!) does sound idyllic, Astrid! (sigh) Marriage IS full of uneven rocky paths because that's part of life. But you are so right...met hart en ziel, anything can be worked out when both work together for the same goals. Ontzettend bedankt.
Wonderful capture and the processing is superb. I'll bet they'd love this photo! I'll bet the wedding photographer would be irritated...lol
Ginnie: LOL! Well, neither will ever know, so I guess we're all safe.
Lovely shot Ginnie. Really like your subtle toning too.
Ginnie: You're a sweetheart, Bridge. Thank you.
Not your normal wedding shot Ginnie. Nice one!
Ginnie: There was nothing normal about this, Ron. That's why I was having so much fun following him around. And he actually seemed tickled to have me there. That's what was so fun about it. I don't think I ever once threatened him.
Superb candid shot Ginnie. I like the subtle tones here!
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Richard. I sure had a lot of fun.
Hope there marriage doesn't end up, all washed up or on the rocks
He is falling for her for sure, hope he didn't bit his tongue in the process Great capture Ginnie
Ginnie: You are so funny, Tracy. You always give me a great smile.
Great candid! I'm doing a friend's wedding in August, but they won't be anywhere near the sea!!
Ginnie: This was a first for me, Bill. I was totally mesmerized! Good luck with yours in August.
This is a great candid shot Ginnie. What an unusual place for a wedding photograph - I'm sure she must have been worried about getting her dress wet or tripping over the hem!
Ingrid
Ginnie: She WAS worried about getting her dress wet, Ingrid. But she was game nonetheless, which was part of the fun.
That marriage looks like it's on rocky ground
Ginnie: I know, Nigel! But I'm guessing we'll never know for sure. Looks may be deceiving.
An original wedding photo indeed! I hope that it will be a happy and exciting marriage, but not too stormy and rocky! Nice how the man is helping his wife!(we have in German the phrase 'in den (ruhigen) Hafen der Ehe einlaufen/ to call at the port of the marriage)
Ginnie: Awwwww. What a great connection to this image, Philine! I like that.
Did someone yell SHARK?
Great candid shot Ginnie. Love the desaturated colours.
Ginnie: HA! No sharks in the harbour, Aussie. Not that I know of??? Thanks.
great shot!
Ginnie: Thanks, Chantal.
Nice wedding shot. I like the smooth colors.
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, Cako. I think of weddings as timeless events.
Looks like she's changed her mind Ginnie
Ginnie: At least about staying at the water's edge! Thanks, Chris.
Lol, she's not trying to get away already is she?! A really great shot Ginnie.
Ginnie: Ine just never knows about these things, Jose-Ann.
Really a very cool picture! and a good story
Ginnie: Thank you kindly, MPW, for stopping by and commenting!
Sometimes the informal wedding shots are better than the posed ones Ginnie and this is one of those. I hope they live happily ever after.
Ginnie: Awwww. That's such a sweet thing to say, Brian. Thank you kindly.
Realy like the colours in this one...and you have caught the coupple in a fine situation
Ginnie: It was a fun few minutes of snapping away, Aksel. Thank you.
Is this the run away bride?
I like the colors Ginnie. This is the kind of wedding photo i would like to have of me and the mrs
Ginnie: Runaway bride! I like that, Magnus. And thanks for the compliment!
They look a bit scared! Did a huge wave come their way?
Ginnie: Good question, Wim. I don't recall any waves at all, but I DO recall seeing the photographer move them from one place to another.
She is trying to leave him already!
Ginnie: Uh-oh. I sure hope not, Chad!
Must be the best photograph I've seen today. A superb moment perfectly captured. Bravo!
Ginnie: You've deeply humbled me, AG. Thank you kindly.
Wonderful capture! Funny!
Ginnie: It really was fun to see and capture, Still.
What can I say - watch it Suby and Dotun a new star is rising and very fast at that.
Excellent and it will be my first wedding shot in likeys.
Ginnie: OMG, Louis! Flattery will get you everywhere, so don't stop now! Seriously, your words deeply humble me! Thank you kindly.
One of the best wedding photos I've ever seen with it's great background.
Ginnie: Your words are deeply humbling, Arash. Thank you kindly!
Well this a great metaphor for the danger of marriage
Great wedding picture, Ginnie! They should have it on their album (I bet it's the best of all!!!)
Ginnie: You sure know how to say all the right things, Lina.
fun...love the candidness...
Ginnie: Awww. Thanks, Sam. It was fun.
MOISE MOISE DERRIERE TOI TON PEUPLE BOUGE , MOISE MOISE NOUS AVONS FRANCHIS LA MER ROUGE, IL FAUT QUE TU NOUS CONDUISE MOISE.

Ginnie: Awwww. Thank you kindly, Olisfer41!
Wonderful shot, Ginnie!
Ginnie: Awwww. Thanks, Kay.
A nice lil cameo there Ginnie
Ginnie: It was very fun, Thomas.
A beautiful shot, everything about it is spot on. I pray they have a happy married life together
Ginnie: Totally agreed, Fotografa. Thanks for backtracking!
a different wedding foto and very creative. I liked this foto because of not having the eyes from this couple that saw to the side of the lens. As well as was seen natural. I love it.
Regards from Yogyakarta Indonesia.
Ginnie: You know how to make my day, Bram. Thank you.
